Ebike Lighting kit

This Ebike light kit is designed to work with the Bafang lighting output which is 6V however can run on other 6V E-bike systems such as the Shimano and Bosch systems.

The available current output at 6V from Bafang motors(and others) is low (500mA), meaning many lights won’t work as they draw too much current. We’ve carefully selected these lights to ensure you can run both front and rear off the one output from the motor. Includes a splitter cable, allowing you to run the two lights from one lighting output.

This system is more suited for road/commuter use and is StVZO approved to reduce glare for other road users. For mountain biking you’ll likely want something with more grunt than the motor output can provide, however these could be useful to get you to the start or home from your off-road excursion (without blinding other road users).

Important Note: This kit is designed to plug and play with Bafang motors configured with two pin higo(Female) 6V lighting output.

Please check your motor has a lighting output cable(6V-48VDC), Bafang connectors vary depending on the reseller, and some don’t have any output. It may require wiring modification to get it to work, we would advise buying 2 pin extension cables if this is the case.

Shimano systems have screw terminals, Bosch systems will require an additional cable with proprietary connector spliced in.

Includes:

• Cable loom to plug into controller (red plug)
• Front LED light, Handlebar Mounting Bracket (standard Ø31.8mm)
• Rear LED light, Mounts from the underside of the seat rails (3D printed mount)

Note: These kits are designed to specifically plug directly into the OEM lighting output found on the Converted/Lekkie Summit kits. Other midrive kits may not have the required lighting output wires/plugs.
